Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka -

Hey there!

I'm from Chamalanka Travel, and my whole thing is showing people the best of Sri Lanka. Think of it as your friendly local connection here on the island, ready to make your trip truly smooth and interesting.

Sri Lanka is just incredible – seriously diverse. You've got amazing golden beaches along the coast, ancient cities that really make you think about history, cool wildlife parks where you can spot wild elephants (and maybe even a leopard if you're lucky!), and green mountains perfect for a walk. The food here is also a huge win – so many delicious flavors waiting to be discovered!

What we do is put together trips that fit exactly what you're looking for. Whether you're coming solo, with family, or a group of friends, we plan your time here so it's super easy and fun. We handle all the details – finding the right hotels, sorting out your transport, making sure your plans flow well – so you can just enjoy being here. You get to focus on the sights, sounds, and tastes, not the logistics.

And here's something special: if you're a travel business yourself, looking to bring clients to Sri Lanka, we've got you covered too. We work directly with other travel companies to set up tours for their guests on the ground. We know the ins and outs, have solid connections, and understand how to make sure your clients have a fantastic time, all while making it really easy for you on your end. It's like having your own expert team right here in Sri Lanka.

A Popular Sri Lanka Trip Idea: The 7-Day Culture & Wildlife Loop

To give you an idea of what a trip to Sri Lanka often looks like, here's a popular route many first-time visitors and agencies use. Of course, we can tweak anything to make it perfect for you!

  • Day 1: Arrive in Negombo / Head to Cultural Heart You'd fly into our main airport near Colombo. Often, we'll whisk you off to Negombo for a relaxed first night by the beach, or if you're ready, we head straight to the "Cultural Triangle" area.
  • Day 2: Ancient Wonders (Sigiriya & Dambulla) This is where history comes alive. We usually visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, often called "Lion Rock." It's an old palace on top of a huge rock, with incredible views. Then, we might check out the Dambulla Cave Temple, which has cool old Buddhist art inside caves.
  • Day 3: Kandy - The Hill Capital Next, we head to Kandy. It's a city set in hills, and it's famous for the Temple of the Tooth Relic – a really important Buddhist site. You can also walk around the lake or check out a cultural show.
  • Day 4: Tea Country Views (Kandy to Ella Train) This is often a highlight! We'd drive you to a tea plantation to see how Ceylon tea is made. Then, you might hop on a famous train ride from Kandy towards Ella. The train winds through tea fields and mountains – the scenery is just amazing. Ella itself is a relaxed town with lots of green views.
  • Day 5: Ella's Charm & Waterfall Spotting In Ella, you can do easy walks to places like Little Adam's Peak for more views, or see the Nine Arch Bridge, which is a cool old railway bridge. There are waterfalls nearby too, like Ravana Falls. It's a great day for being outside.
  • Day 6: Wildlife Safari Adventure (Yala or Udawalawe) Time for some wild animals! We drive south to a national park like Yala or Udawalawe. You'll go on a jeep safari, looking for elephants, crocodiles, lots of birds, and with some luck, maybe even a leopard in Yala. It's a really exciting day.
  • Day 7: Southern Beaches & Galle Fort / Departure We then head to the sunny south coast. You can relax on a beautiful beach or visit Galle Fort, which is an old Dutch colonial town on the coast – great for walking around, seeing old buildings, and grabbing some food. From here, depending on your flight, we arrange your transfer back to the airport.

This loop covers a lot in a week, hitting culture, nature, and beaches. But remember, it's just a starting point. We can easily make it longer, shorter, or focus on specific interests like more beaches, more hiking, or even off-the-beaten-path spots.

So, if you're thinking about Sri Lanka, we're here to help you get the most out of it – straightforward and personalized!
