Zanzibar, Tanzania -
Hey there, fellow traveler!
I'm from Zrea Tours, and I'm all about helping you discover the magic of Zanzibar. This isn't just a place I work; it's my home, a beautiful island off the coast of Tanzania. And trust me, Zanzibar is way more than just stunning beaches (though we have plenty of those!). It's a mix of history, spicy scents, lively culture, and incredible nature, all wrapped up in a warm, friendly vibe.
My goal at Zrea Tours is to make sure your time here is exactly what you hoped for – easy, fun, and full of cool new experiences. We sort out all the nitty-gritty details, so you can just chill out and enjoy the island life.
What We Do to Make Your Zanzibar Trip Great:
- Island Tours: We set up all kinds of tours across Zanzibar. Think walking through the narrow, old streets of Stone Town, visiting spice farms to learn about cloves and cinnamon, exploring Jozani Forest to see the unique red colobus monkeys, or taking a boat out to a sandbank for some swimming and sun. We tailor these trips to fit what you're interested in.
- Hotel Stays: Finding the right place to stay makes a big difference. I help you pick and book hotels that match your style, whether you want a cozy guesthouse in Stone Town, a relaxed beach bungalow on a quiet shore, or a fancy resort with all the bells and whistles on a popular strip.
- Safari Adventures: Want to add some wild action to your island relaxation? We can link your Zanzibar trip with exciting safari adventures on mainland Tanzania. Imagine spotting lions and giraffes on the savanna, then flying back to the island for a sunset over the Indian Ocean. It’s the ultimate combo, and we make connecting these two worlds smooth for you.
- Island Transfers: Getting around the island should be simple. We arrange all your transport, from picking you up at the airport to taking you to your hotel, and moving you between different parts of the island. No stress, just easy rides.
A Popular Zanzibar Trip Idea: The 7-Day Island Explorer
To give you a better idea of how a Zanzibar trip often unfolds, here’s a common route many visitors love. It gives you a good taste of everything the island offers. We can always change it up to perfectly match your pace and interests!
- Day 1: Arrive & Stone Town Welcome You'll land at Zanzibar's airport, and we'll pick you up and take you straight to your hotel in Stone Town. This is the island's historic heart, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can spend the afternoon just wandering the narrow alleys, soaking in the mix of Swahili, Arab, and Indian influences. In the evening, the waterfront comes alive – perfect for a stroll and some local street food.
- Day 2: Stone Town & Prison Island Exploration Today is about digging deeper into Stone Town's stories. We'd explore the old fort, the former slave market site, and maybe even visit a local market. In the afternoon, we'd take a short boat ride to Prison Island, famous for its giant tortoises and a nice beach.
- Day 3: Spice Farm & Jozani Forest A morning trip to a spice farm is a must. You'll walk around, smell, and taste fresh spices like cloves, vanilla, and cinnamon right from the source. It’s super interesting! After that, we head to Jozani Forest to see the rare red colobus monkeys – they're quite friendly and fun to watch.
- Day 4: North Coast Beach Relaxation (Nungwi/Kendwa) Time for some serious beach time! We'll transfer you to the north coast, to areas like Nungwi or Kendwa, known for their stunning white sand and clear blue waters. Here, you can just relax, swim, or watch the dhows sail by. The sunsets from this side of the island are famous!
- Day 5: Dolphin Spotting & Snorkeling (Mnemba Atoll area) An early start today for a boat trip! We'll head out to areas where dolphins like to hang out, and if we're lucky, you might even get to swim near them. Then it's off to a beautiful spot for snorkeling, often near Mnemba Atoll, where the coral and fish are amazing. A fresh seafood lunch on a sandbank might be part of the day!
- Day 6: East Coast Charm & The Rock Restaurant Today, we explore the quieter east or southeast coast. You can enjoy another beautiful beach, maybe try some kitesurfing if you're feeling adventurous. A highlight for many is seeing (and perhaps having lunch or dinner at) The Rock Restaurant – it’s literally a restaurant on a rock in the ocean. It's a unique photo spot!
- Day 7: Farewell Zanzibar (or Safari Connection!) Depending on your flight, you might have some time for last-minute souvenir shopping or a final beach stroll. Then, we arrange your transfer back to the airport. Or, if you've decided to combine it, we'll get you ready for your mainland Tanzania safari adventure!
